February 21 (Renewables Now) - Danish wind turbine maker Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) on Thursday announced an order to deliver 52 MW of turbines for a project in China.

Under the contract, the manufacturer will supply 12 units of its V150-4.2 MW turbines in a 4.3 MW power optimised mode. Apart from delivering the equipment, Vestas will also service the machines under a five-year Active Output Management 4000 (AOM 4000) agreement.

The Danish firm expects to start delivering the turbines in the last quarter of this year and commission them in the same quarter. The name of its customer and the particular project were not disclosed.

Last month, Vestas unveiled another order in China, for 84 MW of wind turbines of the V136-3.45 MW model in a 3.8 power optimised mode. This deal, deliveries for which will be made in the third quarter of 2020, also came from a customer with an unspecified name.
