Hitachi Energy and Samsung C&T have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand collaboration on high-voltage alternating current grid infrastructure worldwide.
Hitachi Energy said the agreement will see the companies combine expertise to identify and pursue AC grid opportunities as demand for electrification grows.
The company added that the partnership will focus on delivering resilient and flexible infrastructure to support renewable integration and cross-border electricity flows.
The MoU establishes a framework to align on AC prospects and develop a shared go-to-market roadmap and opportunity pipeline.
The collaboration builds on an existing relationship across global projects, including work in the HVDC market.
