SAFRA Joins European Clean Hydrogen Alliance

10 Nov 2020  by Joanna Sampson

SAFRA (Société Albigeoise de Fabrication et Réparation Automobile) has joined the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance – a move it says demonstrates its commitment to the fight against global warming.

The French manufacturer is developing sustainable mobility solutions which include hydrogen buses.

The European Clean Hydrogen Alliance comprises more than 200 manufacturers, national and public authorities, civil society representatives and other stakeholders amongst its members.

It aims to launch an investment and support programme to drive the scaling-up of the hydrogen value chain across Europe.

Vincent Lemaire, Chair of the SAFRA group, commented, “As a specialist in collective passenger transport equipment, SAFRA is bringing its extensive experience in working to extend the service life of vehicles to a new and innovative activity through the construction of a range of clean buses.”

“We are working to develop more sustainable mobility on a daily basis. Speaking in terms of society as a whole, improving collective transport is critical in terms of air quality, urban congestion and climate change.”

“With Businova, we are offering the most extensive product range available on the market, right up to the hydrogen solution which is considered to be the most virtuous from an environmental perspective, and certainly the most promising in economic terms both in France and for export.”

“We are proud as a French manufacturer to be able to take part in the creation of this complete hydrogen value chain in Europe.”

“Joining the Alliance also reflects our own sustainable development objectives.”
