State Council Appoints and Removes State Personnel: Sun Zhiyu Appointed as Vice Minister of Water Resources

According to a message on the website of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security on February 27, the State Council appointed and removed state personnel. Among them, Sun Zhiyu was appointed as Vice Minister of Water Resources.

Previously, Sun Zhiyu had already served as a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Ministry of Water Resources.

Public resume information shows that Sun Zhiyu, male, Han ethnicity, was born in May 1968, holds a postgraduate degree and a Doctor of Engineering degree, and is a member of the Communist Party of China.

Sun Zhiyu previously served as a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager of China Three Gorges Corporation, and as a member of the Party Leadership Group and Deputy General Manager of China South-to-North Water Diversion Corporation, among other positions.

In June 2024, Sun Zhiyu was appointed as Director, General Manager, and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of China South-to-North Water Diversion Corporation, until his recent new appointment.
