Once operational, the project will generate enough electricity annually to meet the needs of approximately 100,000 households in Wisconsin. The Wisconsin Public Service Commission is expected to make a decision in early 2027. If approved, Alliant Energy plans to bring the wind farm online by the end of 2028. Currently, the company owns a total of 1,800 megawatts of wind power capacity across Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.
