ACCIONA Energía has completed the sale of a 361MW portfolio of operational wind assets in Spain to Galp New Energies for an equity value of €432 million, with no financial debt included in the transaction perimeter.

The portfolio includes 15 wind farms located across the Spanish provinces of Navarra, Zaragoza, Ciudad Real, Palencia, Guadalajara and Seville. The assets, sold to the renewable energy and sustainability division of Portuguese energy company Galp, have an average operating age of 21 years.
The transaction was signed and completed simultaneously, with ACCIONA Energía receiving the full proceeds at closing. The sale is expected to generate an estimated capital gain of €255 million.
ACCIONA Energía said the deal forms part of its selective asset rotation strategy, which is aimed at maximizing the value of its projects, optimizing capital allocation and strengthening the company’s financial position.
Since 2024, ACCIONA Energía has reached agreements to sell more than 3GW of renewable capacity in Spain, Peru, Costa Rica, South Africa, the United States and Mexico, with a total value of €3.7 billion.
BNP Paribas acted as financial adviser to ACCIONA Energía, while Baker McKenzie served as legal adviser.
