Wynn Al Marjan Island Set to Reach Topping-Out Construction Milestone

29 Nov 2025  by worldconstructionnetwork
Wynn Resorts has provided the latest progress report on Wynn Al Marjan Island, its first integrated resort in the United Arab Emirates. The development is located in Ras Al Khaimah, approximately 50 minutes by road from Dubai International Airport, and is being built in collaboration with local partners Marjan Properties and RAK Hospitality Holding. Total investment in the project reaches $5.1 billion.

The planned opening of the resort is forecast for early 2027.

Design responsibility lies with Wynn Design & Development, while ALEC Engineering and Contracting, part of the Investment Corporation of Dubai, serves as the main contractor following its appointment in 2023. German firm Bauer International completed the foundation and piling works earlier in the construction schedule.

The resort's 305-metre main tower has now reached the 70th floor and is on track for structural topping-out later this month. Exterior façade installation stands at 73% complete, with 19,206 of the planned 26,247 panels already in place. Low-rise structures surrounding the tower have achieved 97% completion of concrete and steel work.

Across the 60-hectare site, structural construction is virtually finished for guest accommodations, with 1,526 out of 1,530 units (99.7%) completed. Interior fit-out is actively progressing in around 1,504 units, alongside ongoing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations throughout the property.

When it opens in early 2027, Wynn Al Marjan Island will offer 1,217 resort rooms, 297 enclave suites, ten Marina Estates, four garden townhomes, and two royal apartments. Guests will have access to 22 dining and lounge venues, a full-service spa and salon, an esplanade of international luxury retail brands, and the Coral Court event space.

Additional facilities include The Showroom theatre, 12 swimming pools, a 420-metre white-sand beach, a beach club, and a deep-water marina capable of accommodating large superyachts. The resort is positioned to become a new landmark destination in the northern emirates, combining Wynn's signature luxury standards with extensive leisure and entertainment offerings on Al Marjan Island.
