Aug. 5, 2026 — EVgo Inc. (NASDAQ: EVGO), one of the largest public fast-charging infrastructure providers for electric vehicles in the United States, announced plans to add “EVgo Superchargers” to its metropolitan charging network.
The company said the V4 Superchargers will be capable of delivering up to 500 kW and 1,000 volts, expanding fast-charging options for EV drivers. Deployments are scheduled to begin this fall, with the first EVgo Supercharger sites expected to become operational in the second half of 2026.
EVgo Superchargers will appear in Tesla in-car navigation, allowing Tesla drivers to be automatically routed to the sites through Tesla Trip Planner. The chargers will feature Tesla’s Magic Dock technology, enabling CCS and NACS vehicles to charge without an adapter.
EVgo said demand on its network has grown by more than 700% over the past three years. The company added that with more than 35 NACS-equipped models expected by the end of 2026 and more than 3 million Tesla vehicles already sold in the U.S., the expansion will strengthen its NACS charging offerings.
“EVgo is making it easier for EV drivers to find convenient fast charging, and we’re bringing more infrastructure options to communities across America to serve the growing demand for public charging,” said Badar Khan, EVgo CEO. “With this deployment, we look forward to welcoming more Tesla and NACS drivers to the EVgo network.”
The company said EVgo Superchargers can add up to 200 miles of range in 15 minutes. The stations will also include longer charging cables designed to make plugging in easier regardless of a vehicle’s charging inlet location.
In addition to the Supercharger rollout, EVgo said its future expansion plans include deploying next-generation charging architecture currently under development at its Innovation Lab in El Segundo, California. The first units are expected to be installed by the end of the year.
EVgo operates more than 1,200 fast-charging stations across 47 states and works with businesses including retailers, grocery stores, restaurants, shopping centers, gas stations, rideshare operators and autonomous vehicle companies.
