Jörg Menges will assume the role of CEO at Audi FAW NEV Company Ltd. on April 1, 2026. He succeeds Helmut Stettner, who led the joint venture for five years. Menges brings over 31 years of automotive experience, including a previous management role in Changchun — where the company operates.
Menges has served as Head of Product Engineering at AUDI AG in Ingolstadt since 2022. Before that, he held the Plant Manager role at FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co., Ltd. in Changchun. That prior posting gives him direct familiarity with localized production operations in the Chinese market.
Audi FAW NEV Company Ltd. operates a production site in Changchun dedicated exclusively to electric models — Audi’s first such facility in China. The Audi Q6L e-tron and Q6L Sportback e-tron both entered the market in 2025. Additionally, the Audi A6L e-tron is expected to launch in the near future as the facility expands its output.
