Chinese premium electric vehicle brand ZEEKR has confirmed the mid-size sports utility vehicle (SUV) ‘7X’ as its first model to launch in the South Korean market.
ZEEKR Korea explained on the 27th through its official YouTube channel ‘ZEEKR is Watching’ the launch schedule, initial launch vehicle, vehicle specifications and options, showrooms, and service centers for ZEEKR’s entry into the South Korean market.
It was officially confirmed that the first sales model for the South Korean market is the mid-size SUV 7X. It was announced that the release of subsequent models such as the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) ‘009’, ‘Shooting Brake 007 GT’, and large SUVs ‘8X’ and ‘9X’ will be decided by actively reflecting the demands and market opinions of South Korean consumers in the future.
Regarding the launch schedule, the company stated, “We are currently in the certification process and have reached the final stage to present a perfect product that exceeds certification standards and meets consumer requirements.”
A facelifted version of the 7X will be launched in the Korean market, marking the first instance in global markets outside of the Chinese market. Additionally, the 7X will be equipped with ZEEKR’s self-developed 75 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) Golden Battery and CATL’s 100 kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese (NCM) battery.
