Nordex Wins 46MW German Order From Trianel

31 Aug 2025  by renews
Nordex, a leading wind turbine manufacturer, has secured a contract to supply and install eight N149/5X turbines for the 46MW Tasdorf wind farm in Schleswig-Holstein, northern Germany. The project is led by Trianel Erneuerbare Energien, a consortium of 36 municipal utilities and Stadtwerke cooperation Trianel.

The agreement includes a 20-year premium service contract to ensure long-term operational efficiency. Located in the Plön district, the wind farm is being developed by ABO Energy, which will manage construction starting in autumn 2026, with commissioning planned for spring 2027. Trianel, in partnership with DKB, is financing the project and will oversee its long-term operation.

The turbines will be mounted on tubular steel towers with hub heights of 105 and 125 meters, spread across the municipalities of Bönebüttel, Großharrie, and Tasdorf. The wind farm is expected to generate 110 million kilowatt-hours annually, sufficient to power over 30,000 households with renewable energy.

A Trianel representative stated: “This project strengthens our commitment to expanding renewable energy infrastructure and delivering sustainable electricity to communities in northern Germany.” The initiative aligns with efforts to enhance clean energy production and support regional energy needs.

The Tasdorf wind farm underscores the collaborative efforts of Nordex, Trianel, and ABO Energy to advance Germany’s renewable energy goals. By leveraging advanced turbine technology and long-term service agreements, the project aims to provide reliable, eco-friendly power while contributing to the region’s sustainable development.
