On July 8, 2025, XDS DATACENTRES, based in the UK and Dubai, signed a 15-year agreement with ICS Arabia in Riyadh to construct two 10 MW immersion-cooled data centers in Riyadh and Jeddah. Signed at Desert Dragon’s headquarters, the partnership supports Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation by delivering sustainable, high-performance computing by Q4 2026.

The facilities will feature immersion cooling for AI, machine learning, blockchain, and GPU-intensive tasks, with Tier III certification, N+N redundant systems, and rack density up to 368 kW. This design ensures energy efficiency and scalability for advanced computing needs in the region.

XDS will provide clients with 99.982% uptime, managed colocation, GPU-as-a-Service, private cloud, and flexible power options, alongside Infrastructure-as-a-Service and engineering support. Ghufran Hamid, CEO of XDS, said: “We are pleased to partner with ICS Arabia on this landmark deployment. The Kingdom represents a key growth market for XDS, and the initial 10MW facilities will showcase the potential of immersion-cooled infrastructure to deliver both performance and sustainability.”

Abdullah Ayed Al Mazny, General Manager at Desert Dragon, stated: “Our partnership with XDS reflects our shared vision to deliver cutting-edge data center capabilities in the Kingdom. Together, we are enabling sovereign digital infrastructure aligned with the ambitions of Saudi Vision 2030.” The project supports national cloud and AI initiatives, enhancing enterprise computing.

Building on XDS’s Dubai facility, this initiative positions the company as a leader in immersion-cooled data centers across the Gulf, advancing Saudi Arabia’s sustainable digital infrastructure.
