Huawei Unveils AI-Driven Ultra-Broadband Solution to Reshape Network Infrastructure

23 Jun 2025  by thefastmode
During the BDC Shanghai 2025 summit, held alongside MWC Shanghai 2025 from June 18 to June 20, 2025, in Shanghai, China, Huawei’s David Wang introduced the AI ultra-broadband (UBB) solution in a keynote, “AI Reshapes UBB for New Growth.” Displayed at Hall N1 of the Shanghai New International Expo Center, it enhances AI application connectivity and fosters business growth.

The solution includes AI FAN, AI OTN, AI WAN, and ADN, enabling smart home networks, bearer networks, and UBB control systems. AI integration in devices ensures efficient data transfer to computing centers and autonomous operations. AI FAN offers 50G PON for 10 Gbit/s home access, turning gateways into AI portals for voice, video, and gesture interactions. AI OTN provides low-latency transmission with optical-electrical synergy and AI digital twins. AI WAN optimizes IP networks with traffic flow sensing and security. ADN’s three-layer AI architecture supports L4 UBB autonomy, automating network tasks.

David Wang said: “AI Reshapes UBB for New Growth.”

With artificial general intelligence advancing, multi-modal large language models and technologies like Mixture of Experts cut inference costs by 99% in two years, boosting AI in devices like smartphones. Networks must now ensure deterministic bandwidth and security. Huawei’s All Intelligence strategy develops full-stack AI and open ecosystems for telecoms, enterprises, and consumers, reshaping mobile and UBB infrastructure for intelligent services and computing needs.

At MWC Shanghai 2025, Huawei partners with carriers and experts to advance AI-driven telecom innovations, supporting 5G-Advanced adoption and an intelligent future.
