Waaree has secured 1.2GW in new orders during Q1 2025/26.
This agreement contributes to Waaree Energies securing 1.2GW in new orders in the U.S. during the first quarter of the 2025/26 fiscal year. The surge in demand is attributed to increased energy needs from AI-driven data center expansion, infrastructure modernization, and industrial electrification initiatives across the country.
To support this growing demand, Waaree Energies is expanding its manufacturing capacity in the U.S. by constructing an additional 1.6GW solar module production line at its Brookshire site. Once completed, the expansion will raise the company's total U.S. manufacturing capacity to 3.2GW by the end of 2025.
The company aims to enhance its ability to serve utility-scale, commercial, and industrial solar projects through this investment. The expanded production is expected to ensure timely module availability and strengthen the domestic clean energy supply chain.
Sunil Rathi, President of Waaree Solar Americas, stated: “This agreement is a strong testament to Waaree’s commitment to developing a robust, US-based clean energy ecosystem. Our Brookshire facility is uniquely positioned to meet rising demand with high-quality, American-made modules, helping our partners deliver on ambitious energy targets while creating jobs and ensuring supply security. This partnership reflects our shared vision to accelerate America’s energy transition through dependable, high-performance solar technology. Backed by decades of manufacturing excellence in India, we’re proud to support our US partners with scalable solutions tailored to this evolving market.”
In addition to the 599MW deal, Waaree Solar Americas recently finalized another solar module supply agreement for 586MW. Under the terms of this $176 million deal, modules will also be manufactured at the Brookshire facility, with deliveries scheduled for 2026 and 2027.
These agreements underscore Waaree’s ongoing commitment to local manufacturing and its growing role in supporting clean energy development in the United States. By expanding capacity and securing long-term partnerships, the company aims to play a key role in meeting national energy goals and strengthening the domestic solar industry.
