DEEPAL, a new energy vehicle brand under Changan Automobile, announced on June 10, 2025, that its global deliveries have surpassed 500,000 units. In May 2025, the company delivered 25,521 vehicles across its model range, reflecting a 78% increase compared to the previous year and a 27% rise from the prior month.

The brand’s lineup includes the SL03, S07, G318, L07, S05, and the newly launched S09. The DEEPAL S09, a six-seat large SUV, entered the market on May 22, 2025, with deliveries starting in the same month. It is offered in five variants—Rear-Wheel Drive Max, Rear-Wheel Drive Ultra, Rear-Wheel Drive Ultra+, Four-Wheel Drive Ultra, and Four-Wheel Drive Ultra+ High Edition—with prices ranging from 239,900 yuan to 309,900 yuan.

The S09 is equipped with the HarmonySpace 5 smart cockpit system, featuring a 21.4-inch 3K rear entertainment screen with a 16:9 aspect ratio and adjustable tilt from 0 to 75 degrees. The system includes dynamic panoramic sound, a children’s assistant, customizable scene blocks, and a spatial magic cube function. Additionally, the vehicle uses Huawei’s Qian Kun ADS 3.3 driving assistance system, with plans for an upgrade to ADS4 in the second half of 2025. The ADS4, based on the WEWA architecture, will reduce latency by 50%, improve traffic efficiency by 20%, enhance hazard prediction, and decrease hard braking by 30%.

Looking ahead, DEEPAL plans to introduce the all-electric L07 sedan and an updated G318 SUV in 2025 to expand its portfolio. The company also intends to establish 300 new experience centers in 2025, primarily in third- and fourth-tier cities. Having entered markets in Southeast Asia and the Middle East, DEEPAL aims to expand into Europe by the third quarter of 2025 to boost sales.

During the DEEPAL Brand Night event in late May 2025, CEO Deng Chenghao shared the “Smart Lead 2030” global strategy, stating: “Our goal is to achieve 2 million vehicle sales worldwide by 2030, with 35% from overseas markets.” The strategy includes launching 30 new models by 2030 to support this growth.
