The Leapmotor C11 was first introduced on September 28, 2021, with a starting price below 150,000 yuan after subsidies. The range-extended electric vehicle (REEV) version launched on March 11, 2023, priced between 149,800 yuan and 185,800 yuan. In March 2024, Leapmotor released an updated C11, with the battery electric vehicle (BEV) variant priced from 151,800 yuan to 205,800 yuan and the REEV version ranging from 148,800 yuan to 185,800 yuan.
The enhanced C11 is built on Leapmotor’s “Four-Leaf Clover” Central Integrated Electronic and Electrical Architecture, featuring advanced front double-wishbone and rear five-link independent suspension with frequency selective damping for improved ride comfort. Zhu Jiangming, Leapmotor’s founder, stated: “The upgraded C11 reflects our commitment to delivering innovative, high-quality electric vehicles that meet customer needs for performance and comfort.”
The updated model incorporates advanced technology, including Qualcomm’s 8295 cockpit chip and the LEAPPilot driver assistance system, which uses LiDAR, the Orin-X chip, 5G connectivity, and high-definition mapping to support 25 driving assistance functions, such as Navigate on Pilot (NAP). The vehicle also features aesthetic upgrades, including a “Songlan Grey” exterior, an “Obsidian Black + Camel Brown” interior, and 20-inch meteor grey alloy wheels, along with 11 configuration improvements and 11 quality enhancements.
The C11’s BEV version offers rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options. The single-motor variant produces 200 kW and 360 Nm of torque, equipped with either a 69.2 kWh or 78.5 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, providing a range of 515 km or 580 km, respectively. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive version, with an 89.97 kWh ternary lithium battery, also achieves a 580 km range.
Leapmotor reported a record-breaking 45,067 vehicle deliveries across all models in May 2025, reflecting strong market demand. The C11’s success underscores Leapmotor’s focus on advancing electric vehicle technology and meeting consumer expectations for efficient, high-performance mobility solutions.
