The initiative will prioritize the use of green hydrogen to deliver stable, round-the-clock electricity, reducing reliance on fossil fuels. By leveraging hydrogen-based energy, the projects are expected to contribute to the socioeconomic development of island communities while promoting environmental sustainability.
A representative from HDF Energy stated: “As Vietnam seeks sustainable and resilient energy alternatives, green hydrogen-based energy offers a transformative solution to provide stable, 24/7 clean electricity, reducing dependence on fossil fuels and supporting the long-term socioeconomic development of island populations.”
The partnership involves coordinated efforts between HDF Energy and EVNSPC, with appointed representatives overseeing hydrogen initiatives. Key activities include conducting technical and feasibility studies, identifying suitable project locations, collaborating with local authorities, and aligning investment and engineering teams to ensure effective project execution.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to advancing renewable energy in Vietnam, particularly in underserved island areas. By focusing on green hydrogen, HDF Energy and EVNSPC aim to create a reliable and eco-friendly energy framework, supporting Vietnam’s broader objectives for sustainable development and energy resilience.
