China’s advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) market features three primary models: full-stack suppliers, collaborative development with solution providers, and in-house research by original equipment manufacturers. VOYAH adopts a dual approach, combining partnerships with external technology firms and strengthening its internal research capabilities. A VOYAH representative stated: “This strategy allows us to integrate cutting-edge innovations while building our own technological expertise.”
Building on the success of the DREAM MPV, which incorporates Huawei technologies, VOYAH plans to deepen this collaboration in 2025. New models, including the VOYAH FREE+, will integrate Huawei’s ADS 4 driver assistance system and HarmonySpace 5 solution, enhancing intelligent driving features. Simultaneously, VOYAH is advancing its proprietary Kunpeng driver assistance system, with the Tsinghua partnership expected to accelerate progress in ADAS and intelligent connectivity technologies.
The collaboration with Tsinghua University includes establishing a joint technology research and development center to expedite innovation in VOYAH’s ADAS capabilities. This center will focus on AI applications and the integration of vehicle, road, and cloud data systems to enhance intelligent driving performance. In April, VOYAH introduced its Tianyuan Smart Architecture, an L3-level driver assistance system powered by the Kunpeng platform, which leverages data integration to improve onboard models.
A Tsinghua University official noted: “Our collaboration with VOYAH bridges academic research and industrial application, transforming advanced research into practical, scalable technologies.” The partnership aims to cultivate talent and commercialize research outcomes, supporting the growth of China’s smart electric vehicle industry.
By combining Tsinghua’s research expertise with VOYAH’s manufacturing capabilities, the agreement fosters innovation in intelligent vehicle technologies. This collaboration positions VOYAH to meet growing demand for advanced, connected electric vehicles while contributing to the development of sustainable transportation solutions.
