As of May 29, 2025, NIO operates 3,337 battery swap stations across China, including 988 on expressways, and 4,570 charging stations with 26,308 charging piles. Additionally, NIO has integrated access to over 1.25 million third-party charging piles. The company aims to expand its infrastructure, targeting full charging coverage in all county-level regions across China’s provincial administrative areas by June 30, 2025. NIO also plans to achieve battery swapping coverage in counties across 14 provinces by mid-2025, extending to 27 provinces by year-end and addressing remaining regions starting in 2026.
NIO Power has broadened its network through partnerships with multiple automakers since early 2024, including Xiaomi, AVATR, Chery, MHERO, Hongqi, DEEPAL, AION, IM Motors, Zeekr, Lotus Cars, Cadillac, Buick, XPENG, and brands under Huawei-backed HIMA. These collaborations enhance charging accessibility for electric vehicle users across various brands, supporting domestic consumption of clean energy.
Zeekr is also advancing its energy network integration. Earlier in May 2025, Zeekr Power and GAC Energy announced a reciprocal charging agreement, allowing users of both networks to access each other’s charging facilities via their respective apps or in-car systems. GAC AION, GAC HYPTEC, GAC Trumpchi, and GAC Toyota users, as well as those using the GAC Energy App or mini-program, can locate Zeekr Power charging stations and access membership benefits. Similarly, Zeekr Power users can view real-time information on GAC Energy’s charging stations, including location, pricing, and availability, through the Zeekr App, in-car map, or Zeekr Power mini-program.
These partnerships reflect a commitment to improving electric vehicle infrastructure in China, facilitating seamless charging experiences, and supporting the growth of sustainable transportation without affecting import or export dynamics.
