Xiaomi EV, a Chinese technology company, unveiled its first SUV, the YU7, on May 22, 2025, in China. Positioned as a luxury high-performance SUV, the YU7—named "御7" in Chinese—will be available for purchase in July, with pricing to be disclosed at launch. Built on the design foundation of the SU7, the YU7 has been tailored for the SUV market, offering a blend of style, performance, and advanced technology.

The YU7 measures 4,999mm in length, 1,996mm in width, and 1,600mm in height, with a 3,000mm wheelbase. Its sporty proportions include a 3:1 wheel-to-axle ratio, 2.1:1 wheel-to-height ratio, and 1.25:1 width-to-height ratio. The SUV features a "hollow droplet" headlight design with a 180° ultra-wide beam and premium 632nm ultra-red taillights for enhanced visibility. Aerodynamic elements, such as electric inward-folding door handles, achieve a drag coefficient of 0.245 Cd, extending the CLTC-rated range by 59 km. A 3.11㎡ aluminum hood, the largest in production, houses a 141L powered front trunk with eight opening modes.

Available initially in Emerald Green, Titanium Grey, and Lava Orange, the YU7’s Emerald Green finish uses a dual-layer paint inspired by Colombian emeralds. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun stated: “Five additional color options will be revealed during the official market launch.” The interior features a "dual-zone immersive luxury cabin" with a 1.1-meter-wide Xiaomi Horizon Display, comprising three Mini LED screens for customizable content. A movable control screen enhances rear passenger interactivity. The cabin offers 100mm front headroom, 73mm rear legroom, and up to 1,970L of storage, accommodating three 24-inch suitcases.

All high-contact surfaces use soft-touch materials meeting OEKO-TEX Class 1 standards, with seats upholstered in fine Nappa leather. The front features dual zero-gravity seats, while rear seats are electrically adjustable to 135°. The YU7 operates on an 800V silicon carbide platform, available in Standard, Pro, and Max trims. The Standard trim, with a 96.3 kWh battery, offers an 835 km CLTC range, while the dual-motor AWD Pro and Max trims provide 760 km and 770 km, respectively. Fast charging adds 620 km in 15 minutes.

The dual-motor AWD variant delivers 690 horsepower, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.23 seconds and reaching a top speed of 253 km/h, with a braking distance of 33.9 meters from 100 km/h. The chassis, equipped with front double wishbone and rear five-link suspension, includes dual-chamber air springs and variable dampers with five height settings. Powered by the NVIDIA DRIVE AGX Thor™ platform with 700 TOPS, the YU7 includes LiDAR, 4D millimeter-wave radar, and seven anti-glare cameras for advanced assisted driving across all trims.
