The collaboration aims to support Changan Mazda’s electrification strategy while providing a model for the broader industry’s transformation through effective integration of technology and efficient development processes.
The two companies plan to enhance their cooperation in the skateboard chassis area, combining their respective strengths. CATL’s platform features a decoupled upper and lower body design, modular subsystems, standardized interfaces, and a hardware-software decoupling architecture. These features allow the platform to quickly adapt to different vehicle models, shorten development cycles, and help both companies respond more flexibly to changes in market demand.
Looking forward, CATL and Changan Mazda will explore the use of advanced NEV technologies, with the goal of delivering high-quality and safe vehicles that contribute to the industry’s shift toward electrification.
