Vestas, a global leader in wind energy solutions, has secured a 65MW turbine order for the Kloddram wind farm in Germany. The contract, signed with Lindenhof, involves the supply of nine V162-7.2MW turbines, designed to deliver efficient power generation for the project.

The agreement includes a comprehensive 20-year service contract, ensuring long-term maintenance and operational support for the wind farm. This service commitment underscores Vestas’ focus on providing reliable, sustainable energy solutions to its partners.

Turbine delivery is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2026, with installation and commissioning planned for completion by the second quarter of 2027. The timeline reflects careful coordination to meet project milestones and contribute to Germany’s renewable energy goals.

The V162-7.2MW turbine model is optimized for sites with medium to high wind speeds, capable of withstanding extreme wind conditions of up to 41.5 meters per second. Its advanced design enhances energy capture and operational resilience, making it well-suited for the Kloddram wind farm’s environmental conditions.

A Lindenhof representative stated: “The V162-7.2MW turbines align with our commitment to sustainable energy production, and we look forward to working with Vestas to bring the Kloddram wind farm to life.” This collaboration highlights the shared dedication of both companies to advancing clean energy infrastructure in Germany.

Located in Germany, the Kloddram wind farm is poised to contribute significantly to the region’s renewable energy capacity. The project supports broader efforts to expand wind power as a key component of the energy transition, delivering clean electricity to communities and businesses.

Vestas continues to play a pivotal role in the global wind energy sector, leveraging its expertise and innovative turbine technology to support projects like Kloddram. The order strengthens Vestas’ presence in Germany, where demand for renewable energy solutions continues to grow.

This initiative reflects the ongoing commitment to sustainable development in the energy sector, with the Kloddram wind farm set to become a valuable asset in Germany’s renewable energy landscape by 2027.
