Introduced in April 2024, the Ye Series is a cornerstone of Honda’s electrification strategy in China. Built on the dedicated battery electric vehicle (BEV) platform, Architecture W, and featuring a new logo, the series aims to provide a smart and efficient electric mobility experience tailored to Chinese consumers. During its launch, Honda unveiled three Ye models—the Ye S7, Ye P7, and the Ye GT concept—highlighting its commitment to an electric future in the region.
The Ye GT, fully developed and manufactured in China, features a sleek fastback design with aerodynamic styling. Its interior adopts a race-inspired theme, incorporating a red-and-black color scheme, a sports steering wheel, a passenger display screen, and advanced technologies like Huawei’s intelligent cockpit system and iFlytek’s voice interaction technology. Honda’s local R&D team in China collaborated with partners, including CATL, Huawei, iFlytek, and HSAE, to design the model.
At AUTO SHANGHAI 2025, Honda will also showcase the Oracle Red Bull Racing RB21 Formula 1 car, powered by a Honda power unit, alongside a range of electrified vehicles, including BEVs, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs), and hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs). This display underscores Honda’s focus on advancing electrification and sustainable mobility solutions.
The Ye GT’s debut reflects Honda’s dedication to meeting the evolving needs of Chinese consumers through innovative electric vehicle designs, strengthening its position in the rapidly growing BEV market.
