Emmvee Expands Solar Module Capacity to 6.6 GW

Emmvee has launched a new 2 GW solar module manufacturing facility near Bengaluru’s international airport, increasing its total module capacity to 6.6 GWp and cell capacity to 2.5 GWp. This development strengthens Emmvee’s role in expanding India’s solar production capabilities.

D.V. Manjunatha, Emmvee’s chairman and managing director, stated: “This is yet another step in the company’s dedication to supporting India’s renewable energy goals and achieving solar manufacturing self-reliance.” The expansion reflects Emmvee’s commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions.

The new facility, covering approximately 400,000 square feet, will create jobs for over 500 new employees, including engineers, senior managers, factory workers, and administrative staff. With a current workforce exceeding 2,000, Emmvee continues to grow its team to support its expanded operations.

Suhas Donthi, president and CEO of Emmvee, commented: “The new facility will bolster our production capacity, which will enable us to better service our customers. We are not merely increasing capacity but also enhancing our technological advancements and business operations. The unit is designed with advanced automation, multiple level of quality control and is versatile to produce different module sizes and formats.” These improvements aim to meet diverse customer needs efficiently.

Emmvee supplies solar products to markets in Asia, Europe, Africa, and North America. The enhanced facility positions the company to meet growing global demand for renewable energy solutions while contributing to India’s clean energy objectives.
