On April 15, 2025, GAC Honda launched the P7, its first all-electric SUV based on the dedicated "Architecture W" platform for battery electric vehicles. Available in three variants, the P7 is priced between 199,900 yuan and 249,900 yuan. The launch took place at GAC Honda’s facility, marking a significant step in the company’s electric vehicle offerings.

The P7 features a sleek, futuristic exterior with a wide, low profile and a seamless body design to optimize aerodynamics. Its closed front grille is complemented by a full-width LED light bar, and a new Honda emblem is showcased alongside a multi-slat lower bumper for a distinctive look. Measuring 4,750 mm long, 1,930 mm wide, and 1,625 mm high, with a 2,930 mm wheelbase, the P7 achieves an 85.8% space utilization rate.

The interior includes a 1.85-square-meter panoramic sunroof that blocks 95% of infrared rays and 99.9% of UV rays, ensuring passenger comfort. The vehicle is equipped with Honda CONNECT 4.0, an AI-driven voice assistant supporting multi-turn conversations, dialect recognition, and four-zone voice control. The infotainment system integrates wireless Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar, Baidu CarLife, and Siri-based interaction. A standout feature is the front-row dual headrest BOSE audio system with 16 speakers, delivering immersive sound.

The P7 offers single-motor rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive options. The all-wheel-drive variant delivers 150 kW front and 200 kW rear power, with peak torque of 350 N·m and 420 N·m, achieving 0-100 km/h in 4.6 seconds. The rear-wheel-drive model offers a CLTC-rated range of 650 km, while the all-wheel-drive version provides 620 km.

GAC Honda highlighted the P7’s high-efficiency electric motor, reaching 97.5% efficiency, with a controller at 98.5%. An intelligent heat pump system enhances cold-weather performance by 5%, retaining over 86.8% battery capacity at -30°C. The vehicle also features an advanced Honda SENSING 360+ system, including highway navigation assistance, driver monitoring, and collision warnings for safer driving.

A GAC Honda spokesperson stated: “The P7 represents our commitment to innovative, efficient, and safe electric mobility, designed to meet the needs of modern drivers.”
