Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CPH:VWS) on Sunday unveiled orders in the US for the supply of 947 MW in total.

One of the orders calls for the supply and commissioning of 454 MW of V120-2.2 MW turbines, with deliveries starting in the third quarter of 2019 and completion scheduled for the third quarter of 2020. This order includes a 10-year service contract.

Another Vestas announcement reveals that a single customer has made one 95-MW order and a 173-MW purchase for two separate projects in the US. The Danish company will deliver V150-4.2 MW turbines for each of them and service the machine under multi-year deals. Vestas noted that including previously purchased PTC components, these projects have a total capacity of 102 MW and 198 MW, respectively. Deliveries and commissioning for both projects are seen in the third and fourth quarter of next year.

Meanwhile, Vestas got a 225-MW order for V150-4.2 MW and V110-2.0 MW turbines, to be installed as part of a 242-MW wind project in the US. The company has previously supplied 2 MW and 4 MW turbine components for this project. This last order includes a 25-year service agreement and envisages deliveries starting in the first quarter of 2020. Commissioning is scheduled for the third quarter of that year.

Vestas did not disclose the names of any of these customers.
