TCL Zhonghuan recently has signed a cooperation agreement with Guangzhou Municipal Government and Guangzhou Development Zone Management Committee, and invested CNY 10.6 billion to build a 25 GW solar cell industry 4.0 smart factory project, mainly producing G12 N-type TOPCon cells, with an expected output value of CNY 16 billion.
TCL provides the first largest solar manufacturing project in Guangdong
The project is the first large-scale photovoltaic manufacturing project introduced by Guangzhou Province, which will effectively promote the agglomeration of the entire photovoltaic industry chain and related supporting industries in the province.
Li Dongsheng, the founder and chairman of TCL, stated that the factory will fully leverage the synergistic effect of the upper and lower links of the industrial chain, and further consolidate the differentiated development path of the combination of G12 and shingled cell.
The company also said that to further increase its investment layout, accelerate the construction of key projects, create industrial bases and technological innovation centers, and make new contributions to promoting the high-quality development of the technology manufacturing industry in the future.
