GS Engineering & Construction (GS E&C) will export renewable green hydrogen plant modules to California of the United States. It will mark the first time for a Korean construction company to export hydrogen plant modules.

GS E&C announced on Jan. 24 that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SG H2 Lancaster LLC to participate in the design and production of modules for a green hydrogen plant, which is scheduled to be built in California.

SGH2 Energy, a U.S.-based energy company, will build a green hydrogen facility in Lancaster, California to produce 11 tons of green hydrogen per day with 40,000 tons of waste paper annually. This volume can charge about 1,700 units of medium-sized hydrogen vehicles.

SGH2 Lancaster LLC is a business manager created as a special purpose corporation (SPC) by SGH2 Energy in order to promote the project.
