Ignitis Group, the Lithuanian state-owned energy holding company, has contracted Nordex to supply 14 N117/3600 wind turbines for a wind farm in Poland. The turbines are planned for the 50 MW “Bakow I” wind farm in the south-west of the country. The contract also includes a Premium Service contract for the turbines for 20 years.

The Nordex Group will install the turbines on 134-meter tubular steel towers. The delivery and installation work will begin in the summer of 2023 with the commissioning of the last turbine scheduled for the end of that same year.
The Group has installed more than 37 GW of wind power capacity in more than 40 markets and generated revenue of €4.6 billion in 2020. The company currently employs a staff of approx. 8,500. Joint manufacturing capacity includes factories in Germany, Spain, Brazil, the United States, India and Mexico. The product portfolio focuses on onshore turbines in the 4 to 6.X MW class, which are tailored to the market requirements of countries with limited space and regions with limited grid capacity.
