Home Power Solutions (HPS) has joined the European Clean Hydrogen Alliance.

The Berlin-based provider of picea, the world’s first hydrogen-based electricity storage system for one and two-family houses, today (May 17) unveiled its membership as part of a contribution effort to the transformation of Europe’s energy supply.

Launched in July 2020, alongside the EU Hydrogen Strategy, the Alliance aims to promote the extension and development of the use of green hydrogen for a carbon-neutral Europe by 2050.

In under a year, the Alliance has accumulated more than 1,000 members for various fields, including public and private sectors, research institutions, NGOs, unions and more.

Commenting on the company’s new membership, Zeyad Abul-Ella, Co-Founder and Managing Director of HPS, said, “Green hydrogen will make a significant contribution to the transformation of Europe’s energy supply and thus to the desired decarbonisation of many of our continent’s everyday processes.

“We are delighted to be a member of this group of well-known companies, who are seeking to contribute towards this goal. We also view our membership of the Alliance as acknowledgement of our technological innovation in developing the picea system.

“Our membership will advance our networking capability within the sector and provide us with technologically and commercially valuable contacts.”
