Toyota and Denyo Develop Fuel Cell Power Supply Vehicle

18 Sep 2020  by Molly Burgess

Toyota Motor Corporation has partnered with outdoor power sources company Denyo to develop a fuel cell power supply vehicle which generates electricity from hydrogen.

Based on Toyota’s Dyna light-duty truck, and capable of supplying continuous power for approximately 72 hours, the vehicle can deliver electricity when and where it is needed, for a range of different locations.

The vehicle uses fuel cell power supply equipment developed by Denyo under a programme subsidised by Japan’s Ministry of the Environment. It carries approximately 65kg of hydrogen, stored in 27 hydrogen tanks and is capable of covering long distances.

Denyo is working with Toyota to start verification tests of the vehicle this month.
