The First Chinese Scientist Has Joined the ITER Physics Simulation Team

Dalian University of Technology of China (DUT) announced on June 8 that Wang Feng, an associate professor in the School of Physics of DuT, has joined the ITER core physics simulation research team and is the first Chinese scientist to join the ITER project.

The INTERNATIONAL Fusion Energy Organization project is the largest international scientific engineering project in the world and the largest international scientific and technological cooperation program that China has participated in so far.The goal is to jointly build a superconducting Tokamak fusion reactor to explore the feasibility of peaceful use of fusion energy for power generation in science and engineering.The FUSION Energy project costs about 20 billion euros and currently has about 850 direct staff members.
