Chinese company Jiangsu Seraphim Solar System (Seraphim) has signed an agreement with ERS Energy to supply solar modules for a few projects in the Philippines.
As agreed, Seraphim will deliver 183MW of high-efficiency solar modules for projects slated to be located in Alaminos, Laguna, and Gigasol, Zambales.
The Chinese firm will supply monocrystalline 158.75mm half-cell PERC modules, which have lower current and series resistance to reduce power losses and optimise power generation on a restricted land area.
ERS Energy managing director Jonathan Kan said: “Seraphim and ERS have maintained an excellent cooperation for many years.
“We are impressed by Seraphim’s passion and professionalism in the solar industry, which makes them an ideal partner.”
The Philippine projects will be co-developed by Ayala’s energy platform AC Energy, while Malaysia-based ERS Energy is involved as the EPC contractor.

Established in 2011, Seraphim focuses on supplying solar PV products. According to the company, it has delivered more than 8GW of products across 40 countries.
Last year, the company built a new facility for producing high-efficiency half-cell modules in China’s Shanxi province.
