East China Supervision Station Conducts Supervision of Primary Circuit Hydrostatic Test for Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant Unit 3

25 Feb 2026
Recently, the East China Nuclear and Radiation Safety Supervision Station of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (hereinafter referred to as the East China Supervision Station) conducted supervision of the primary circuit hydrostatic test for Sanmen Nuclear Power Plant Unit 3. The station implemented strict oversight throughout the entire testing process, making every effort to ensure the safe, orderly, and standardized execution of the test.

The primary circuit hydrostatic test is the first comprehensive commissioning test after the unit enters the system commissioning phase, marking the unit's full transition from the installation phase to the commissioning phase. Prior to the test, on-site supervisors conducted detailed verification of prerequisites to ensure that all preliminary preparations were properly implemented, effectively preventing potential risks. During the test, on-site supervisors provided continuous oversight, tracking on-site inspections at various pressure platforms and the handling of abnormalities throughout the entire process to ensure timely resolution of issues and that on-site conditions met test requirements.

Nuclear safety is a crucial component of national security and the lifeline for the development of the nuclear industry. The East China Supervision Station will consistently uphold the work style of "strictness, prudence, meticulousness, and practicality," focus on key milestones, strictly fulfill its nuclear safety supervision responsibilities, ensure the high-standard and high-quality construction of nuclear power units, and fully safeguard nuclear and radiation safety in the East China region.
