Brazil’s Pork Exports Hit Second-Highest Monthly Level

25 Nov 2025  by ukragroconsult.
Brazil recorded its second-highest monthly pork export volume ever in October, with shipments totalling 142.7 thousand tonnes, according to official Secex data. The figure was 5 percent below September's all-time record of 150 thousand tonnes but represented a 10 percent increase compared with October of the previous year.

Cumulative exports for the first ten months of 2025 reached more than 1.25 million tonnes, rising 13 percent year-on-year and setting a new record for the January–October period.

The Philippines continued to rank as the largest destination for Brazilian pork. In October, however, Japan and Mexico achieved their highest-ever positions, placing second and third respectively, ahead of longstanding major markets including China and Hong Kong.

Exports to Japan in the first ten months of 2025 totalled 95.3 thousand tonnes, surpassing the full-year volume of 2024 (93.4 thousand tonnes) and significantly exceeding the 40.3 thousand tonnes recorded in 2023. Shipments to Mexico during the same period reached 64 thousand tonnes, up from 42.8 thousand tonnes in the whole of 2024.

The strong performance reflects growing demand in key Asian and North American markets, contributing to Brazil’s continued expansion of pork sales worldwide and reinforcing its position as one of the leading global suppliers of the protein.
