The SOMA Pro trackers will be installed in regions previously considered unsuitable for solar development due to land limitations, steep slopes, or regulatory hurdles. Solargik’s terrain-adaptive technology enables deployment on challenging terrains while supporting agricultural use, offering what the company describes as “low-impact, high-yield” solutions. This innovation expands the potential for solar energy in areas with complex landscapes.
Solargik’s chief executive, Gil Kroyzer, stated: “Italy is one of the most strategically important markets for Solargik. These projects showcase how our smart systems unlock solar potential in all terrains, including places others would avoid.” The company’s project pipeline in Italy now spans several hundred megawatts, reflecting its commitment to the region’s renewable energy growth.
The 45MW portfolio with Revalue is set for delivery in the second half of 2025. Revalue co-CEO Luca Di Giacomo commented: “Solargik brings a rare combination of technical depth and practical execution.” The Free Ingegneria agreement includes a 20MW portfolio with sites featuring slopes up to 40%, addressed through Solargik’s short-structure trackers designed for steep and uneven terrain. Free Ingegneria’s chief executive, Marco Giovannini, noted: “Solargik’s adaptive engineering gave us options where none seemed possible.” These projects are slated for completion in 2026.
Italy’s solar sector added 6.8 gigawatts of new capacity in 2024, driven by the need for innovative solutions to overcome land-use constraints. Solargik’s technology aligns with this demand, enabling efficient solar deployment in diverse environments. The AgriPV project in southern Italy further integrates solar energy with agricultural activities, supporting sustainable land use.
These contracts highlight Solargik’s role in advancing Italy’s renewable energy goals through cutting-edge technology. By addressing challenging terrains and regulatory requirements, the company is helping expand solar capacity while maintaining environmental and agricultural compatibility. The projects with Revalue and Free Ingegneria position Solargik as a key contributor to Italy’s sustainable energy future.
