ZTE and Telkomsel have initiated the commercial rollout of ZTE’s UniSite 1+2+3 5G site solution in Indonesia, focusing on building a sustainable, efficient, and intelligent 5G network. This collaboration underscores their commitment to innovative telecommunications infrastructure.

The UniSite 1+2+3 solution, tailored for Telkomsel, incorporates advanced chip technology, a Super-N Power Amplifier, and AI-driven algorithms, integrating frequency bands, sectors, channels, and antennas. It reduces network complexity, cutting wireless modules per site from 15 to six, saving over 60% of tower space and reducing energy use by about 20%, enhancing cost efficiency and environmental sustainability.

The deployment enables Telkomsel to swiftly expand 5G services, ensuring scalability for future demand. The upgraded network boosts reliability and user satisfaction, establishing Telkomsel as a pioneer in Indonesia’s 5G sector with ZTE’s technological support.

Tang Xue, ZTE’s Vice President, stated: “This collaboration with Telkomsel marks a significant milestone in our efforts to drive innovative and sustainable 5G solutions globally. The UniSite 1+2+3 solution reflects ZTE’s commitment to simplifying network architectures while enhancing performance and efficiency.” A. Moelky Furqan, Telkomsel’s Vice President of Planning & Network Architecture, said: “Telkomsel’s collaboration with ZTE on the UniSite 1+2+3 solution aligns with our vision of empowering every Indonesian with world-class digital connectivity for a better today and excellent tomorrow.”

This initiative strengthens Indonesia’s digital ecosystem, delivering broader, greener, and more reliable connectivity for communities and businesses.
