By May 2025, Kyivstar’s high-speed 4G internet and reliable mobile services reached 95.9% of the population in areas under Ukrainian control. Since 2022, the company has upgraded over 22,000 existing base stations and built more than 9,000 new ones, with capital investments in network development surpassing UAH 26.4 billion. Kyivstar plans to continue expanding 4G coverage to meet license obligations for new spectrum in the 2100 MHz and 2300 MHz bands, acquired in a November 2024 auction.
This year, 4G connectivity was introduced in numerous settlements, including 12 in the Mykolaiv region, seven in the Ivano-Frankivsk region, and six in the Volyn region. Additionally, Kyivstar established 94 new technological sites along major highways, such as the Kyiv-Lviv route near Olesko village and the Kyiv-Odesa route near Dubinove village, on the border of Odesa, Kirovohrad, and Mykolaiv regions. These efforts have enabled high-quality 4G coverage across nearly 13,000 km of key international and national roads by May 2025.
Kyivstar’s ongoing investments reflect its commitment to enhancing digital access and connectivity, ensuring reliable communication services that support Ukraine’s economic and social resilience. The expansion of 4G infrastructure underscores the company’s role in advancing the country’s technological capabilities and meeting the growing demand for high-speed internet.
