The contract encompasses two Francis turbine-generator sets and an ECO-flow unit, delivering a combined installed capacity of 124MW. Each turbine, developed and tested in ANDRITZ’s hydraulic laboratory, will produce up to 57MW, while the ECO-flow unit contributes an additional 10MW. The turbines are engineered to operate at a maximum head of 135 meters and a rated speed of 300 rpm.
Limak Renewable Energy, a prominent player in Turkey’s renewable energy sector, is advancing the Incir project to support the country’s sustainable energy objectives. Turkey ranks second in Europe for installed hydropower capacity, following Norway, with renewable sources contributing 69GW, approximately 60% of the nation’s total 118GW energy capacity.
ANDRITZ highlighted the significance of the contract, stating: “With this contract, ANDRITZ further strengthens its role in Türkiye’s green transition and deepens its long-standing partnership with Limak Renewable Energy.” This project builds on more than 20 years of collaboration between the two companies.
The Incir hydropower plant is expected to enhance Turkey’s renewable energy infrastructure, providing reliable and sustainable power while aligning with national goals for clean energy development. The partnership underscores ANDRITZ’s expertise in delivering advanced hydropower solutions and Limak’s commitment to expanding renewable energy capacity.
