Axpo’s Head of Small-Scale LNG, Daniele Corti, highlighted the delivery as a significant milestone, emphasizing the growth of their LNG bunkering business. The company, which operates in a neutral and unbiased manner, plans to expand its services to other major Spanish ports, including Valencia and Barcelona, using two new LNG vessels with capacities of 7,500 cbm and 12,500 cbm.
Earlier this year, Axpo signed a ten-year charter agreement for a 7,500 cbm LNG bunkering vessel with Italy’s Gas and Heat SpA and the San Giorgio del Porto shipyard. Additionally, Axpo has completed bioLNG operations at two Enagás terminals in Huelva and Barcelona, supplying LNG to ferries like the Rusadir, an electric and dual gas-powered ferry operated by Baleària.
