Plenitude, a company controlled by Eni, has announced the start of construction of the Renopool photovoltaic plant in Badajoz, Spain. With a capacity of 330 MWp, Renopool will be the largest solar project ever built by the company worldwide.

The photovoltaic installation, built with the support of the construction companies OHLA, Sacyr and Sarpel, will generate 660 GWh per year, equivalent to the energy consumption of about 200,000 homes, and will include seven photovoltaic plants and an electrical substation near Solana de los Barros. It will be built using the best available technologies, including bifacial modules, solar tracking structures and central inverters.

The execution of the project will be entrusted to top-level companies under a turnkey formula. Construction will be completed during 2025 and will generate new local employment opportunities.

The Spanish project was followed by lawyers Loredana Pasqualini, International Legal Assistance at Eni Plenitude Società Benefit, and Begoña González del Tánago Rodríguez, senior in-house lawyer at Eni Plenitude Renovables Spain.
