Statkraft has acquired the remaining 18.69% of shares in its Brazilian subsidiary, Statkraft Energias Renováveis (SKER), making it the sole owner of SKER. The shares were purchased from Fundação dos Economiários Federais (Funcef), the third-largest pension fund in Brazil. This transaction, which solidifies Statkraft's position in the Brazilian renewable energy market, marks an important milestone in the company's ongoing growth and sustainability efforts.

"We are thrilled to take full ownership of Statkraft Energias Renováveis through this acquisition. This move aligns perfectly with our strategic plan and enhances our presence in Brazil," stated Ingeborg Dårflot, Executive Vice President International at Statkraft. "We also extend our gratitude to Funcef for their successful partnership throughout this journey together."

The company currently manages 14 hydro power plants and 4 wind farms in the country, boasting an installed capacity of approximately 450 megawatts (MW). SKER is actively pursuing an ambitious growth strategy, with investments totaling around 3.4 billion BRL in 600MW of wind power projects under construction. Additionally, SKER recently acquired 260 MW of operating assets and aims to continue its growth through both greenfield construction and acquisitions.
