Vestas Halts Four Wind Farm Projects in Russia

08 Mar 2022  by
Vestas will halt its four wind farm projects under development in Russia as consequence of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Danish newspaper Ekstra-Bladet reported on Monday, citing a company spokesperson.

Vestas has since September been developing the four projects – Novoalekseevskaya, Grazhdanskaya, Ivanovskaya and Pokrovskaya – with a total capacity of 253 megawatt ordered by a consortium between Finland’s Fortum and Russia’s Gazprombank.

Vestas did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
