The Carbon Neutral Coalition (CNC) committed to taking action to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement. It is specifically seeking to establish the infrastructure that will help cut emissions by using Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage.

Sempra Infrastructure develops, builds, and operates clean power, energy networks, and LNG and net-zero solutions.

As a senior advisory board member, Sempra will work with CNC to develop policies to create the CCUS frameworks. Therefore, this will allow energy companies to capture their CO2 emissions and inject it into permanent storage. On the other hand, they can also create safe, effective new products derived from carbon capture.

“Sempra Infrastructure (…) is committed to creating an economic future that not only expands energy jobs through innovative approaches but protects our environment,” said CNC founder, Corbin Robertson. “CNC (…) looks forward to working alongside them, as well as all its members, to help create a carbon-neutral Texas by 2050.”

Lisa Glatch from Sempra also added: “Working together, we can establish the infrastructure that will enable the energy industry to capture its CO2 emissions and reach net-zero by 2050.”

The CNC will work with existing oil, gas and energy stakeholders to advocate that the state create the regulatory framework. This is to establish this infrastructure and ensure the preservation of the energy industry in Texas.
