Hitachi ABB has sucessfully delivered a new step-up power transformer to the Reloj del Sol Wind Farm in Texas.
The new 3ph 237MVA step-up power transformer was delivered by Hitachi ABB’s Guarulhos factory in Brazil.
The Reloj del Sol wind farm is operated by EDP and will have an installed capacity of 209.4 megawatts (MW) — enough to power approximately 45,000 average Texas homes.
Reloj del Sol Wind Farm will consist of 63 Nordex Acciona AW132 3.4 MW wind turbines.
