China's Renewable Energy Investment Exceeds US$100 Billion for Five Consecutive Years

The number of patents, investment, installed capacity and power generation in the field of renewable energy in China has ranked first in the world for many consecutive years, and investment in renewable energy has exceeded US$100 billion for five consecutive years.

The energy consumption per unit of industrial added value of Chinese enterprises above designated size decreased by more than 15% in 2019 compared with 2015, which is equivalent to saving 480 million tons of standard coal and saving energy costs of about 400 billion yuan.

China’s green buildings account for approximately 60% of the newly built civil buildings in cities and towns. Through energy-saving renovation of existing residential buildings in cities and towns, the efficiency of building operations is improved while the living environment is effectively improved, benefiting 21 million residents.

Since 2010, China's new energy vehicles have grown rapidly at an average annual growth rate of doubling, and sales accounted for 55% of global new energy vehicle sales.
