China-Myanmar Gas Pipeline Imports of Natural Gas made a Breakthrough Last Year

27 Feb 2020
The reporter recently learned from Kunming Customs that the natural gas imports of China-Myanmar oil and gas pipelines will exceed 5 billion cubic meters in 2019.

Ruili Customs, a subsidiary of Kunming Customs, supervises imported natural gas by remote electronic supervision and regular verification. It uses the "oil and gas liquid chemical logistics monitoring and transportation subsystem" and the company's own "SCADA" system to implement automatic continuous monitoring of imported natural gas. Ruili Customs has statistically analyzed 1,464 natural gas technical parameters that have been continuously pumped for 4 years, and determined that the main index of imported natural gas is more than 99.5%, and the content of sulfide and other harmful substances is below the minimum limit of instrument detection. On this basis, The sampling frequency is reduced from once a day to three to five times a month, which not only ensures natural gas quality control and improves work efficiency. The customs has established a set of supervision modes of regular declaration, priority processing, and 24-hour supervision for enterprise filing, declaration, inspection and release supervision.

In addition, the National Oil and Gas Regional Key Laboratory of Ruili Customs Comprehensive Technology Center has been completed, and has obtained certifications for natural gas components, total sulfur and hydrogen sulfide, heating value, water dew point and other items, covering all testing items of the national mandatory standard GB17820.
