Summit Ridge Energy Partners with Arcadia Power for Community Solar Portfolios

Arlington, VA based Summit Ridge Energy (SRE) announced a partnership with Arcadia Power to sign and manage residential customers across multiple markets, including Maryland and Illinois, where SRE’s community solar portfolios are the largest within each state.

Maryland’s three-year Community Solar Pilot Program is approximately 193 MWs in size, 60 of which are set aside for projects focused on low and moderate-income customers, while Illinois’ Adjustable Block Program (ABP) will enable the deployment of over 600 MW of solar power within the state and includes community solar projects that provide customers with savings through on-bill credits applied to their monthly utility bill.

SRE’s portfolios in each state will be fully constructed by the fourth quarter of 2020. Its fleet in Illinois alone will save over $500,000 a year for its customers located throughout both ComEd and Ameren service territories, said the company.

Similarly, the Maryland fleet will generate ~35 GWh/year of credits representing over $5,000,000 in utility savings for customers located throughout both BG&E and Pepco service territories over the next 20 years.
