The acquisition is intended to integrate AquaBlue's service expertise in the industrial water treatment field with Kemira's existing technology and chemical portfolio. This will enhance Kemira's ability to provide end-to-end, integrated solutions for industrial clients in sectors such as food and beverage, manufacturing, and healthcare.
Tuija Pohjolainen-Hiltunen, Executive Vice President of Kemira's Water Solutions business, stated that this is another strategic move by Kemira in the North American industrial water treatment service sector, following the acquisition of Water Engineering, Inc.
