DOD Technologies Establishes DOD Labs to Expand PFAS Testing Capabilities for Environmental Regulation

Recently, the U.S. gas detection technology company DOD Technologies announced the establishment of a new analytical laboratory division, DOD Labs, expanding its business into the detection and analysis of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) in environmental and occupational samples. This move aims to address the growing regulatory and risk management demands related to "forever chemicals."

The newly established DOD Labs focuses on PFAS testing and analysis for environmental samples such as drinking water and wastewater. Due to their high persistence and potential health risks, PFAS have become a global focus in the fields of environmental and public health.

The services offered by DOD Labs include analysis consistent with EPA Methods 533, 537.1, and 1633, comprehensive PFAS testing kits, ultra-short-chain analysis, and customized testing options. Additionally, the team is developing new direct-reading technologies to assist environmental health and safety professionals in meeting evolving testing and reporting requirements.
